Nuffield Health Tees Hospital
Eurosafe UK recently completed an important project at Nuffield Health Tees Hospital in Stockton-on-Tees, contributing to the hospital's infrastructure with a series of essential safety and access installations.
The client
Nuffield Health Tees Hospital is part of Nuffield Health, the UK's largest healthcare charity, providing high-quality private healthcare services across the country. Located in Stockton-on-Tees, the Tees Hospital offers a comprehensive range of treatments and services, including orthopaedics, diagnostics, and outpatient care.
The requirements
Nuffield Health Tees Hospital required a range of access solutions to support safe and efficient maintenance and operational activities across its site. The hospital sought durable, safe, and easy-to-install access systems, as well as a screening solution that could protect essential rooftop services. Eurosafe UK’s team collaborated closely with the hospital's facilities management to ensure that the installations met the specific requirements of the site.
The solutions
Ascent Stair: The Ascent Stair provides a safe and sturdy route to elevated areas, ensuring hospital staff and maintenance teams have secure access to critical areas. This solution was chosen for its versatility, ease of installation, and compliance with safety standards.
Ascent Access Ladder: Installed to provide vertical access to rooftop and high-level areas, the Ascent Access Ladder ensures quick and safe movement between different levels of the hospital’s facilities. Its robust design was essential in meeting the safety needs of this busy healthcare environment.
Free Standing Louvre Screen: The Louvre Screen was installed to shield rooftop equipment, such as HVAC units, from the elements and provide aesthetic concealment while maintaining air circulation. This solution enhances the hospital’s exterior while protecting crucial operational equipment.
Challenges and outcome
The key challenge of this project was coordinating installations within a live healthcare environment, where minimising disruption to hospital operations was paramount.
Through careful planning and close collaboration with hospital management, Project Manager Dave Stewart and the Eurosafe UK team efficiently carried out the installations, ensuring minimal disruption to daily hospital operations and maintaining uninterrupted patient care.
Eurosafe UK delivered the project on schedule, supplying Nuffield Health Tees Hospital with top-quality, fully safety-compliant access solutions tailored to their specific needs.
This project highlights Eurosafe UK’s proven ability to implement access and protection systems in complex environments like healthcare facilities, where safety, precision, and functionality are of utmost importance.
